Narnain, Ime, and The Cobbler

Straight up Narnain to start, its 3000' in just over 2 miles, mostly a steady trudge with a few jogs where the trail flattens out. Didn't hang about in the mist on top, straight over to Bealach a'Mhaim then another trudge up Ime, still in the cloud! On the way back to the Bealach the cloud started to lift and, good views, short walk and jog up The Cobbler, descent via An t Sron, sky clearing and the sun makes an appearance, joined the trail high above Ardgarten running back along to Succoth.

Ben Bowie

Local running, out and back to the two small hills , Kiloeter and Ben Bowie between The Vale and The Clyde, using trails/Stoneymollan, Three Lochs Way and John Muir but keeping off trail as much as possible, with low cloud not many views, good to be out.

Ben Chonzie

Uo at Strathallan for the evening and a chance for a new Munro, Ben Chonzie, No 54 for me and one of the easiest ones. 8 miles all in, the first and last 2 1/2 miles runnable on farm tracks with only the middle 3 miles on the hill. Walked the steep first couple of hundred yards of the hill then back running up a gentle gradient to the top surprising a small flock of owls in a dip just before the summit cairn and shelter, took in the good views from the top to the Lawers range a few miles north before an easy run back to glen Lednock.

Fruin horseshoe

Hadn't been to Glen Fruin for a while, started on the access road for Fruin reservoir, through the gate and turn right for a trudge straight up Auchengaich hill, from the top run up Tharsuin picking up a fence line over Chaorach and down steep grassy slopes into the glen. Another trudge by a fence takes me to the top of a Mhanaich, down hill now to the Strone with a wee detour to the minor top of Maol am Fheidh.

Blooming local trails and hills

Out and back route over Bromley Muir with a loop round Killoeter and Ben Bowie. Ran off paths and trails as much as possible, straight up to the Fort over Bromley Muir to the Stoneymollan, trail to Killoeter, short trail section then cut off through a fire break to Ben Bowie, another short trail section back to the Stoney, back over Bromley Muir to finish.
