Last Club race of the year, 4 of us set off from in front of Balloch Castle for a 3 lap 4.7 mile Cross Country, stayed in 2nd place all the way, perfect conditions, drizzly, no wind plenty of mud, finished just outside 40 mins, about 30 seconds quicker than last year, good fun.
Last race in this tears club series, 3 laps round Balloch Park, 8 of us set off, took the 1st 2 laps steady and if I had maintained the pace would have been under 40 mins, not fast but ok, slowed a bit on the third until the climb back up to to the castle, ran better after the climb but still lost 30 or 40 seconds, finished 3rd.
Last race in this years club grand prix, 7 of us set off for 3 laps round Balloch Park, about 4 1/2 miles all in. Started in 5th place, finished 4th, caught one runner at the start of the third lap. Managed to run a fairly even pace, all three laps within 13 seconds of each other
Last Club race of the 2021 race series, 7 of us set off just after 9am, plenty of muddy patches but in between ground firm dry, good for running. 3 laps, each one slightly slower, came home second, first for the club.
Last race in this years club championship, three laps round the park, start and finish up at the castle, round the grassy slopes, over muddy paths and a couple of undulations. Good turn out with 7 of us setting off, started out in third, soon up to second then back to third half way round the second lap, stayed there to the end, finishing outside 37 mins, good fun with enough mud to call it a cross country.
