Club 10k

Club 10k road race, after last weeks tempo run hoped I could get inside 50 minutes, just made it by about a minute, need to try some faster runs so that I can run faster. 2nd out of 5.

Club 10k

The latest race in this years club race series, 10k road race, route based on the old Polaroid 10k route that finished in the Christie Park. 6 of us tonight, good conditions, warm and sunny with a breeze, soon fell into 3rd place and stayed there to the finish, pleased to finish a couple of minutes faster than last year.

Club 10K

After a couple of postponed races we finally managed another race in this years Club GP, a road 10k. Only 5 of us tonight, Started in second place, dropped to third within the first half mile, stayed there until the end. 30 0r 40 seconds slower than last year, need to try some more regular and faster road runs if I want to improve. Lucky with the rain, stopped just as we started running, staying off until we finished.

 

Club 10k Race

Latest Club Race, 10k road race round the Vale, 6 started 5 finished, route based on one of the previous Polaroid 10k routes taking in a couple of minor hills, one up through Balloch Park the other up past what was Davey Grahams car Sales. A minute slower this year missing my target by 20 seconds!

Club 10k

 Set off on just over 7 min mile pace for first couple of miles, slowed through the park then picked the pace up again,  not quite quick enough, dropping 15 secs per mile, finished 2nd by about 11 secs, a few secs quicker than last year, good run.

Milburn 10k race

Another club race this week, a 10k based on one of the old routes used by the Polaroid 10k. 4 of us started, a fifth started later running in the opposite direction. Finished in 48:45, my first 10k in 4 years and my fastest in over 10 years.
