Glen Fruin

Looking for an easier long run this week, parked at the access road to the Fruin Reservoir and set off for Auchnegaich Hill, no running, just a steady trudge, once on top started an easy jog over Beinn Tharsuin and Chaorach with a few photo stops. A fine day, warm, gentle breeze and some sun. From Chaorach ran towards the glen dropping down then traversing across towards  A'Mhanach, another trudge, not as steep but longer, from A'Mahanach its downhill all the way to the haul road with a wee diversion via Maol am Fheidh and continuing down The Strone, short road section and I was back at the car.

Appin Agricultural Show

Visited Appin Show again, first time was 2019, lots of show activities, Sheep and Cattle, arts and crafts, tractors and steam engines and duck races, missed the ferret races this year. Oh and a hill race up and down Beinn Donn behind the show field. This years race had a few more real runners, set off at the back, managed to overtake 2 on the way up and only one on the way down, it's a deceptively hard track to run down quickly. Finished with a refreshment in the beer and then Prosecco/Cocktail tent before  a wee ceilidh in the village hall at night.

Ted Baker

Ted Baker Pappert Well,  21st running of this club race, slight route change required, one of the paths is becoming overgrown as the fir trees close in. Shorter route, more direct / up and down as a hill race should be. Only 6 of us tonight, all made it round without getting too lost!

Luss Lollipop

This years race had been cancelled, good enough reason to go out and run round the route. Started up Beinn Dubh into the cloud just after half way, windy and raining, good day for a hill run. Round the two corries to Mid Hill and a short descent then across the glen to start the Wee Beastie climb. Back on top of Beinn Dubh and the cloud starts to clear and some sun appears, good running, maybe the race will be back on next year.
